Line:

This is the first image I have chosen for my research. The composition of the image clearly highlights the lines, drawing in your eyes to concentrate on the main subject. It is simple yet artistic, which is why I was so drawn to the image.

Shape:

This image clearly highlights the subject of shapes. As you can see from the image, the focus of shape is on circles, the image containing four of them. it also shows the contrast between black and white.

Texture:

This image shows the texture of the ropes. I particularly like this one as it is not fully clear what the focus of the picture is, whether it’s the shape the ropes are making or the texture. For me personally, I am drawn to the idea of the focus being on texture.

Pattern:

This image shows the pattern of a tree trunk. I particularly like the detail that is on show in this image and how it instantly draws you in.

 

 

 

My chosen subject:

I have chosen to do my monochrome project on Line. I am drawn to how lines are in almost everything we see, whether it be the lines of the street, fences or in the shapes of the buildings that surround us.
